Biomass is an an Earth observing satellite of the European Space Agency (esa), which is currently under development. From 2023, the satellite shall survey the biomass of the complete forests of the Earth. The mission objective is among others to assess terrestrial carbon stocks and fluxes of the forests and better understand the planet's carbon cycle.
