  • additive manufacturing (AM) offer an outstanding design freedom and a huge potential for optimised lightweight structures, and are thus also interesting for space applications
  • the achieved material properties depend on various process parameters as well as orientation of the respective part during manufacturing
  • for evaluating the material properties of additive manufacturing materials or parts, the following test are performed:
    • tensile tests
    • compression tests
    • shear tests
    • pin bearing tests
  • the tests are performed for temperatures from room temperatures (RT) down to 4K (liquid Helium, LHe)
