Thermal Vacuum and Thermal Balance Testing for a Highly Stable Star-Sensor-Bracket
Home/ Projects/ Space/ Thermal Vacuum and Thermal Balance Testing for a Highly Stable Star-Sensor-Bracket
thermal vacuum cycling as well as thermal balance were performed for a ceramic (HB-Cesic®) support structure for star sensors
a major element for the test set-up for the thermal balance test was to establish radiative boundary conditions which match the operational conditions as close as possible with respect the applied multi-layer insulation (MLI)
the test has been accompanied by respective thermal FEM simulations
