  • the On Board Calibration Assembly (OBCA) provides the calibration of the spectrometer during operation
  • for the development of the EnMAP OBCA, the structural-mechanical analyses and optimisation have been performed:
    • quasi static analysis
    • modal analysis (resulting in a design modification for increasing stiffness)
    • random vibration analysis (including notching)
    • thermo-mechanical analysis (deformation and stress)
    • thermal analyses:
      • verification of temperature stability of lamps and LEDs for guaranteeing a constant spectrum during calibration
      • development of a method for modelling the correct thermal radiation of Halogen lamps and LEDs
      • investigation of different calibration profiles with transient thermal analyses
