A new test rig for measuring the thermal conductivity of materials at cryogenic temperatures
The test rig is based on an existing design from NASA ([1])
Key properaties and specification of the test rig:
- Specimen geometries: cylindrical or prismatic specimens with a length up tp 300 mm and a diameter up to 30 mm
- The test rig can be adapted to different specimen geometries
- Measurement of thermal conductivity in longitudinal direction of the specimen
- Temperature range: 10 K to 290 K
- Thermal conductivity measurement range (demonstrated): 0.1 -200 W/m/K
