CTE Measurement of CFRP Struts With Integral and Invar End Fitting
CAD model of the test setup
Test setup for CTE measurement
Design and assembly of a test setup for the measurement of thermal elongation of CFRP struts for extreme thermoelastic stability requirements
Screwed and clevis end fittings made of CFRP and Invar (reference) have been investigated
The special challenge for the design of the test setup was to achieve the high accuracy that is required for measuring very low CTE
The CTE for the struts have been measured in the temperature range of -180°C to +70°C
